    Before studying at William & Mary, I worked for a year-and-a-half as a teacher assistant at two Title I elementary schools. Prior to that experience, I worked as an education and community reporter in Williamsburg and in northern Virginia. In May 2005, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia, with a double major in English and Women's Studies.
